Education sphere
Education sphere
The educational community has great potential to implement land stewardship initiatives.
Several experiences, both in high school, and university, show the great potential of the educational sphere to implement its own land stewardship initiatives or to join others.
Both students and teachers, and even the educational institution itself, can be involved in the different parts of the stewardship process, starting from the analysis and diagnosis of the environment through the planning of the actions to be developed in the territory and, finally, the implementation of these actions, the evaluation of their effects and the dissemination of the whole process. In this way, a land stewardship initiative can be a tool for sensitisation, education and awareness of the problems that can be detected in the territory with respect to natural and cultural heritage and, above all, its possible solutions.
